Zmags, the shoppable content company enabling digital marketers to create and publish rich content experiences without the need for coding, today announced the expansion of its executive team with the hire of Derek Yimoyines as chief technology officer. As the company’s first CTO, Yimoyines will centralize and expand the US-based engineering team.
Prior to joining Zmags, Yimoyines was a six-year veteran of the innovative Nanigans team where he most recently served as the performance advertising solution provider’s vice president of engineering. In this role, he built Nanigans into one of the highest volume Facebook Marketing Partners, a driving factor in the company’s 60x revenue growth. Yimoyines is an experienced engineer and project manager instrumental in developing highly-scalable SaaS products at innovative companies including Avenue 100 Media Solutions and Speechworks (now Nuance Communications). In his new role, Yimoyines will evolve the Zmags technical direction and ensure the continued growth of operations and development to support the growing needs of the digital marketer.
“Derek’s technical vision and expertise will benefit Zmags greatly as we continue to build and magnify our plans for the Creator and Publicator products to make content creation easier and more effective for today’s busy marketers,” said Brian Rigney, CEO of Zmags.
“Zmags’ innovation and desire to continually improve on customer experience has been inspiring,” said Yimoyines. “I am looking forward to working closely with the engineering team while growing and delivering present and future product.”
